Terms & Conditions

Agreement

By registering and/or participating in BOLD Dance Competition (BOLD Productions, LLC), you agree to the terms and conditions set forth.

Studio Directors, staff and parents registering on behalf of their students/participants take full responsibility.

Media/Marketing

BOLD Productions reserves the right to use participants name, image, likeness, including photography and video, in marketing and media materials without compensation or credit. Participants have the ability to OPT OUT by completing the Media OPT-OUT form.

Liability

Studio directors, teacher and parents registering on behalf of participants take full responsibility for their participants. BOLD Productions, LLC is not liable for any injury, illness or death resulting from the events. Dancers participate at their own risk.

Parking: BOLD Productions, LLC is not responsible for unattended vehicles or the contents within. Obey all posted signs and park at your own risk.

Cancellation & Refunds

Once routines have been registered and paid, NO REFUNDS will be given. Special circumstances for cancellations will only be considered for medical/family emergencies. All refunds will be issued in a form of "credit" towards future BOLD Production events.

BOLD reserves the right to cancel a competition for any reason without refunds.

COVID-19

BOLD Productions will be following all state, county and federal guidelines at our events. Additional precautions may be added by BOLD Productions to ensure the health and safety of participants and spectators.

If a venue closes, a secondary venue for the competition will be used. Rescheduling may result if a secondary venue cannot be secured.

Refunds due to COVID-19 cancellations: BOLD Productions will strive to accommodate refunds as much as possible in the form of "credit".

All participants and attendees do so at their own risk. You must be symptom free and had no known contact with someone who is COVID positive or are under quarantine direction. Those who attend take full responsibility for their own health and safety. Please attend at your own risk. BOLD Productions, LLC is not liable.

Additional Information/Rules

Music

Music (MP3 format) must be uploaded through the registration portal at least 5 days in advance of the competition. BOLD Productions is not responsible for incorrect cuts or speed of uploaded music. Please bring a backup of your music.

Music must be age-appropriate and family friendly. Music containing explicit language or content will be deducted/disqualified at judge's discretion.

Props

Props are generally allowed and must be set up and removed within the time allotment for each routine. 

Props should not leave residue or damage the stage. Studios/participants will be liable for damages.

Props must be cleaned up by the studio/participants. Routines that require BOLD staff cleanup will be deducted 1 point for every 5 seconds of delayed competition.

Routine

Routines should be entered into the proper skill and style and complete within the time requirements. Routines will have 10 seconds for entrances and exits - entrances and exits will not be judged.

Point deduction or adjustments in the routine category/level will occur if the routine does not fit within the skill or style listed.

Schedule

Preliminary schedule will be released 14 days prior to the event.
Final schedule will be released 7 days prior to the event.

Routines are expected to perform in the order they are assigned. 

Acrobatics

Acrobatics/Tumbling is not allowed in the ballet category.
A maximum of 3 acrobatic passes are allowed before the routine must be entered in the "Open" category.

Excessive tumbling/acro will be subject to point deductions and a change of category.
